can you give a brief explanation of iran's political system.If they got better foothold or result than us Sunnis in establishing governance.

The earlier episodes will illustrate how governance is established in Islam, who the authorities are and so forth. If my memory serves me correctly, Iran is mentioned in Week 13. The Iranian 'wilayat al-faqeeh' system is stolen from Sunni Islam.

As for Iranian Shi'ites "getting a better" foothold, it is the very nature of cults, because they are minorities, to be rather compact and organised. That's the first point. Secondly, the theory of a governing system is quite not the same as its practice. The Sunni model works; it fails when people fail, i.e. corruption and greed enter people's hearts and things fall apart. It worked under the Khulafa Rashidun, it worked under Umar ibn Abdul Aziz, it worked under Salahuddin al-Ayubi, and there are several other examples. Imam Muhammad Saeed Ramadan al-Bouti discusses this in his book The Approach to Human Civilisation in the Qur'an, the translation of which will be published shortly insha'Allah.
