Who is denying that t...Thank you for your comment.

Who is denying that the climate changes? The climate has always changed, regardless of human activity, and that includes the production of carbon dioxide. You can look up the Little Ice Age and the Medieval Warming Period as examples.

I tagged this article under "Theology" for two reasons:

1) We know that the world is going to end and how it is going to end. Allah has revealed this in His Book and on the tongue of His Messenger, may Allah bless him grant him peace. Human production of carbon dioxide leading to rising sea levels and catastrophic weather events which will in turn submerge and/or destroy cities and towns all over the world is nowhere to be found in our theological literature or its sources.

2) The belief in anthropogenic global warming is just that, a belief, and it has taken on the various trappings of an organised religion or a religious sect. Please have a look at these two posts:

http://mahdinnm.blogspot.com/2010/12/religioisty-and-idolatry-of-agw.html

http://mahdinnm.blogspot.com/2011/12/great-global-warming-fizzle.html

This is also worth a read:

https://stephenschneider.stanford.edu/Publications/PDF_Papers/Crichton2003.pdf

This is not to say that Muslims don't care about the environment. We do. We have been commanded to take care of the earth and to keep it clean, and the same applies to our homes and indeed our bodies. Imam Wahbah az-Zuhayli, may Allah have mercy on him, has a detailed essay on this in his book Qadaya al-Fiqh wa al-Fikr al-Mu'asir (Issues of Fiqh and Contemporary Thought) entitled 'Preserving Health and the Safety of the Environment is an Essential Objective of the Revealed Law', and it deals largely with the importance of cleanliness.

And Allah knows best.Mahdi Lockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17083440397337482887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8919265877138027256.post-11902408323041129162016-04-26T20:01:08.709+01:002016-04-26T20:01:08.709+01:00Sir, You have tagged this with "Theology.&quo...Sir, You have tagged this with "Theology."
Do you mean to say that the denial of climate change is actually a stance that is formulated according to islamic principles?
tthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12505598330978871769noreply@blogger.com
